Closed work permit

I am on a closed work permit in Canada working as a front store ( front counter attendant ), My employer wants to change me to a baker postion. I would like to know if is allowed under my closed work permit to switch job position.

No. You can only work for the NOC on your LMIA. They will need to apply for a new LMIA. Assume you are the only person qualified to be a baker.

Thank you so much for your reply. My closed work permit is under the French Mobility program, so I assume it is the same a a LMIA, is that correct?

Yes. So they need to file for a new LMIA, and then you apply for a new closed work permit. Make sure you can prove that you have qualifications as a baker.
