I'm wondering if you have any info about how much it will take to processes a Close Work Permit with an LMIA in low wage position from inside Canada. I applied on Feb 2024 and it has been more than 92 days since the application its stuck in background check. I already have my biometrics done in 2022. So basically its a "easy" and not complex application. I am changing from visitor to work permit.
IRCC website states 91 days processing time,I know thats the majority and my application can take longer, the thing its how longer? I am from south america.
Hi what’s your last application update in what stage it is ? It’s saying something like “your application is in progress?” Did u do it from inside Canada ?
It can take a long time because visitors aren’t really meant to be a pathway to WP. Given the amount of people with status who are looking for work you’d need to show why the employer needed to hire someone without status for low wage job.
