I'm having the same doubt on my occupation category "B" (2132 Mechanical Engineers). The table in the link shows two rows for B.
So, If I get 5.5 in each test, am I eligible to apply?

@shri_boss: Your job is a NOC A job. 2132.
To meet the CEC requirements you need CLB 7. That means for you a 6 in all bands.
If you get 5.5 in each band, you would be able to apply with a NOC B job.
NOC CLB Level Test results for each ability (IELTS)
B 5 Listening 5.0 Reading 4.0 Writing 5.0 Speaking 5.0
0, A 7 6.0 6.0 6.0 6.0
Search for your NOC code.
The first and or second digit of the noc defines whether it's:
All the codes that start with a '0' are NOC 0 Ex: 0XXX (need CLB7)
All the codes that have '1' as their second digit come under NOC A. Ex: X1XX (need CLB7)
All the codes that have '2'or '3' as their second digit come under NOC B. Ex: X2XX or X3XX (need CLB5)
or NOC C = 4 and 5, and NOC D = 6 and 7 on second digit
You will be in CLB 6 just because your reading score is 5.5. If you had gotten 6 in reading, you would've been in CLB 7.
You haven't mentioned the NOC you are applying for.
for CEC the only CLB you need to know are:
CLB5 for noc B if you are noc b you are ok with your results
CLB7 for noc A or 0 if you are A or 0 you need to retake the test because of the reading section , clb 7 need to score 6 on ielts, remember that the overall score is not important as you need to approve each section by itself
not sure what is your noc?
The first and or second digit of the noc defines whether it's:

A.-All the codes that have '1' as their second digit come under NOC A. Ex: X1XX (need CLB7) IELTS 6,6,6,6
B.-All the codes that have '2'or '3' as their second digit come under NOC B. Ex: X2XX or X3XX (need CLB5) IELTS 5,4,5,5
