My brother and his family would like to seek procedures on how to apply for asylum through UNHCR in Turkey and subsequently the timeline and the procedure for them to come to Canada.
I live in Canada as PR with my family and we are not in social never been and have a good income.
Any advice about getting my brother and his family to Canada will be highly appreciated.
Others can comment as this is my understanding only in that applying through UNHCR there would be no guarantee which country asylum process would follow, so not necessarily Canada for example.
thanks. that is still OK but wanted to elaborate a little more on how to go about it, for instance, do they have to go to UNHCR first or it has to be a government entity first and what procedures and the timelines if possible.
Would suggest you look correspond with an organization that has experience doing private sponsorships. You alone will not be able to sponsor your brother and his family.
