so guys I’m confused. I moved to candada as a permanent resident in July 2015 and I’ve been here for 3 consecutive years so can I apply for my citizenship or do I have to wait until I’ve lived here for 5 years.

You have to show that you have been physically present in Canada for 3 years out of the 5 years preceding your application. The time does not have to be consecutive, just add up to 3 years, So if you landed as a PR July 2015 and have been physically present since then with no days out of the country you could have applied any time after July 2018.

so the fact that I’ve only lived here for 3 years and 2 months still makes me eligible right ?

Short answer : yes, you can apply today if you've been in Canada more than 1095 days since July 2015.
