I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post but I figured I'd go for it. My grandmother was born in Nova Scotia, Canada in the 40's, and moved to Massachusetts as a teenager. My mother was born in Massachusetts, but is now thinking of getting her Canadian citizenship. My grandmother (my mothers mother) passed away in 2013. Would it still be possible to get a citizenship through a deceased parent? If so, would it be possible for me to get my citizenship through my mother if she got hers? Any info is helpful!
