citizenship test invite through email or mail?

i can see following line when i checked cic application status

We sent you a notice on January 10, 2019 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 31, 2019 at 8:30 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

i received email only.i didn't received anything through mail. will i receive anything through mail.please let me know

Just email. When somebody provides there email in application this is consent they give to receive almost all communication through email as opposed to regular mail. So in ur case test invite comes through email only

Anybody here ,who has requested family name change with citizenship application ???
And if yes then can you please let me know that what is the total processing time ??? I have applied in January 2018 and still waiting for test invitation ..i call them few times and they says your application in name change department and will take some time than usual..
Anyone please help

First you get email my status got changed after 2 days receiving the email.

Did you see the PDF at the end of that email?
If yes, that's the official notice for the test. You will need to print it and take it with you.

My online citizenship test is October 25 - November 14, 2021. The online application tracker says I have been scheduled to take the online test but I have not received the email invitation and it is now October 27, 2021. IRCC says there was a glitch with the email. Can I still take the test even without the email invitation? I did sign in to the online test and was able to access the privacy notices but did not go any further. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
