Last year, I got My PR after being a student, post study work permit holder.
I will be eligible for citizenship in 2023.
unfortunately, I have to be on long term disability due to medical reasons, I was on short term disabillity since last year. Any advice and answer to the two questions below would be appreciated:
1) How does this impact my citizenship eligibility (assuming, I am fully healthy, recovered and working in 2023 when I apply) ?
2) From purely eligibility of citizenship perspective, will I be better off with NOT applying for CPP Disability benefit - assuming I will be healthy and working in 2023 when I apply for citizenship?
