I want to apply for citizenship certificate for my son born in canada as I got his birth certificate and applied for passport now I want to apply for citizenship certificate
My question is as both the parents are still on temporary residence status
Can anyone guide me how to go with the application
As I am bit confused

your son is a Canadian by birth (Birth Right). He is not a Canadian by Naturalization/Naturalized Canadian. He will never get a Citizenship Certificate. His Birth Certificate is his Citizenship Certificate.
He doesn't NEED a citizenship certificate, but if you want one for him for some reason, you can get one. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof.asp
