I hope you can help me clarify my issue regarding the road to citizenship. if i get my renewal and be given another 5 years, does it mean i have to start from scratch and Build another 1095 days or should the previous days from the previous 5 years of stay be credited. Please see example below:
PR 1: May 2017 - May 2021 = 900 days
PR 2 (renewed) May 2021 - May 2026 = 900 + whatever I earn
or
PR 1: May 2017 - May 2021 = 900 days
PR 2 (renewed) May 2021 - May 2026 = zero (0) - earn your 1095 days from scratch
Eligibility for citizenship is based on PR status and not PR card. You don't need a PR card to apply for citizenship. It is only there for traveling or returning to Canada
1095 days of physical presence are accumulated from the day you landed (became PR). So, you don't start from scratch when you renew your PR card.
