Hi all,
I need your advise as me and my spouse are currently separated and I have applied for my citizenship prior to the separation. We currently do not have any separation agreement in place for almost year . I was wondering if the separation is going to affect my application in anyway if I proceed for a divorce. we have been married for 6 years and have lived together in Canada for about 4 years. My spouse was the sponsor during my application process.

Your marriage has nothing to do with your citizenship application. You may want to update your form in case your divorce has been finalized before your citizenship application is completed. (from married to divorced)

But it will not affect your citizenship application.
