Citizenship application

Hi All,

I applied for Citizenship on Jan 2018 (from Calgary) and received "We started processing your application on April 18, 2018". There has been no update since that. I lived out of canada for 1.5 years and submitted police clearance report from the country I was living in (Dubai) when I was outside Canada. I have three questions:
1- Is such delay normal ?
2- My PR expires Sep 10th 2018. Should I apply for renewal or wait a bit more ? Any -ive negative impacts of applying for PR renewal on citizenship application ?
3- What is best way to contact CIC regarding this delay ?

1- There is no delay, processing time is 12 months as per CIC, and here is the January 2018 spreadsheet for reference. As you can see, many others are still waiting.

2- I am not super knowledgeable on this so other, more experienced members will probably have better insight than me.

3- I think calling IRCC call centre would be you best option, but again, there is not delay, as your application is still well within the processing time they provide.

2. In my case, no impact. Yes, i think you should renew it if you have travel plans. The delay for renewing the card is ~102 days.
