I just want to know one simple question that doesn't seem to be online anywhere
Is it possible to apply for Canadian Citizenship from abroad? Has anyone done it successfully themselves?
Understanding you come back to do the test+oath obviously.
I'm stuck abroad because of the pandemic and I see on the physical calculator that I need to have a last return date to complete and calculate the calculator, so do I just put down the date of my application and they will accept this?

Have you already lived 1095 days in Canada? If yes then I believe you can submit and application as you are eligible to apply.
When you submit citizenship application (if it is paper based) you can attach a cover letter explaining that you are stuck abroad due to pandemic and will be moving to Canada as soon as situation improves and will update IRCC again as soon as you are in Canada.
I am not sure if online application can allow you to attach a cover letter.
Yes I have enough days but I just wanted to know what to write on my last returned date on the physical presence calculator form since I haven't yet returned. I thought due to this that I couldn't apply from abroad. Does anyone know of someone who's applied from abroad successfully?

If you follow the physical presence calculator you need to tell them your date of return to Canada. The expectation is to apply when you are inside the country as there is no option for being outside while filling out the calculator. I don't see how you can work around this date of return requirement, but do let us know if you can actually do this.
Good luck!

I can't call them because I'm outside of Canada, this is a legit problem, it's ridiculous I can't talk to them. I've tried going through the form online but no response still
It would be if you call them or continue with the webform though that takes time to get a response. Check the Internet for a number you can call from outside the country.

I left October 2019. I will update here when or if I find any more information. I may just get a friend in Canada to call them, it doesn't connect through from outside of Canada

Just a question if you don't mind me asking, let say you want to apply today your 5 years eligibility period will be apr 7-2016 to april 06-2021, could you tell us how many days have you been outside Canada during this time ?
It is not only about the day you apply for citizenship. You will have to maintain your eligibility until you take the oath. If you have plans to return to Canada then it's fine else it may cause issues with your application.
