CIC processing is very very slow?

Hi I applied for TWP on 11 November 2013 online from US. When I wrote to NY embassy I got the following reply.

This is in response to your email below
Processing has begun on this application and is now in queue for assessment.
All applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. An exact schedule of completion is not available at this time as our processing time is a minimum of (30) thirty days. Our office is currently finalizing applications received on August 21, 2013

If you wish to withdraw your application, please send a message to this e-mail address. Please be sure to put the following in the subject line: "Request to withdraw application". In your email, please be sure to include your full name, your date of birth, your sex, your passport number .

If they are processing application received on August 21st 2013. It looks like they are gonna take 3 more months to get to November applications.

Same reply for me too. And CIC is very good at their service. I always imagine CIC is in old age communication method. Like send a Dove with paper tied. And even like sending a message through paper mail from Earth to Moon. (Kidding: )

You said your's online application right?..if you send your application last Nov 11, 2013 (correct me if im wrong) your WP supposed to be issued last December 2nd or 3rd week because online application only takes 20working days..

20 Working Days is only for Application which is inside Canada. I am outside Canda. For the maximum time for processing is 4 Months.

Processing time is 4 months as an average for the quarter. If you see in the site, they are saying that the last quarter update was on 30th Oct 2013. So 4 months is the average time of that quarter.

In the last quarter, there was a strike, Hence the processing timings are increased drastically.

I hope now there is no strike,so it will be processed soon.

Yeah lot of people do that mistake. Those processing times are for the applications filed from inside Canada.
The processing time ins 4 months (for 80% of cases) for online applications from US. That means I may get to hear some where around End of Feb 2014.
Although it says 4 months processing time, if they are finalizing the application received in August. By the time they look into November applications it will be three months from now, unless they will process the applications very quick. They may process the applications very quick from now (it may happen) as there was lot of backlog due to the strike. If those applications are processed then things can move faster. Lets see .....
