We had submit our application on 6th march 2016 till now we dont get any response from cici niter any email about AOR or CIC . The apporimate time frame has been crossed according to cic.gc.ca to getting AOR so then I had call to cici on +1 (613) 944-400. After long hold got response from cic call agent
They asked me UCI or AOR but we dont get any AOR or email from CIC . And they try to search our application by using payment recipt number,Date of birth and by name but they couldn't find out our application. Really worried what to do ? What may be solution please ...
Did you have a tracking number from when you mailed the application?
Do you know for sure that is was received by CIC?

courier office gave delivery message after delivering to cic office but more than this, does courier number works after delivering mail to CIC
For some strange reason, not everyone receives an official AOR from CIC.
Your delivery confirmation is the next best thing, because that will be the date shown on your AOR, if you ever get one.
At least you know that it was delivered. All you can do now, is wait and hope that they send your AOR.

really worrying, cic call agent said that, they couldn't find out our application, from payment receipt number,our date of birth , by date of application delivery and by our name .. while case inquiry ... thank you for u r sharing ponga
You know that the application was delivered...but you have no guarantee that it hasn't been lost by CIC.
Until you receive the AOR, there is also the possibility that the application is being returned, because of missing or outdated form(s) or signature(s).
This really makes the wait even more miserable!
how to know cic has lost or not that submitted application? if they lost application what can we do?
you will not know until they inform u, ours got lost after almost waiting for 4 years.. feb this year they called my father saying sorry coz they lost our application so they told us to submit again new application..
In your situation, I would do the following:
1. First I would send a letter to the same address where I sent the package; I will tell them the situation, add a copy of the confirmation that you got from the courier that they received your application, where they could see the name of the person who received the package and the date; you need to be able to track this letter too and see when and who received it
2. After this letter, I would wait one or two days after I see that they got it; I will go to their place, the same place where the courier delivered the package.
3. Depending of the result of 1 and 2, the next step would be to go to the MP
You cannot wait until they contact you to tell you, You know, we are sorry, we lost your application. You need to find out as soon as possible what the situation is: do they have the package or they do not have it?
