hi all,
I am a former foreign worker who worked in Dongguan, China, from 2017 to 2019 for a period of about two years. During my employment in Dongguan, I frequently made day trips to Hong Kong via the land border at Shenzhen. These trips were usually one-day visits, occurring at least once per month. According to my understanding, a police certificate is required under the Express Entry program if I stay in a country for 6 months or more continuously. Since I made frequent one-day trips to Hong Kong, would I be considered as actually leaving China and breaking the continuity of the 180-day count? In light of my circumstances, do I still need to obtain a China police certificate? Thank you.

can anyone help with this? Thank you

I don't think anyone knows the answer for sure here...
Is it really one country two systems? Or was that considered as 2 "immigration areas" since crossing the border between Hong Kong and China do involve immigration of either governing sides.

You may want to call/post this question to IRCC.
