i also want to know that how long does it take canadian passport and birth certificate for a baby born in canada?also if he is traveling to india then will he need indian via also?if yes then how long will it take to get him india visa?
1. Birth certificate - check the vital stats department in the province of birth..usually 4-6 weeks post birth via a registry office.
2. Passport - check passport office website. Give it 2 calendar weeks unless you expedite.
3. India visa - contact the Indian consulate.
In short you need to do some leg work but you've been pointed in the right direction.
NB: Doesn't apply to most children born in Canada but if any parent has diplomatic status in Canada (as per the protocol list) then the child is not a Canadian Citizen!
