Our kid was born last week in Canada after we have received an ITA (Express Entry - FSW).
I was under the impression that we would not need to add the kid in the application as the child is a Canadian Citizen. Kindly confirm if this understanding is correct.
Also, if we do not include the kid in the application do we still need to provide the passport details. I think it'll take time for the kid to get the passport and I was hoping to apply asap.

The hint is: don't assume anything and don't take anyone here words as the source of truth. Just follow the instructions when you are filling the application (i.e. click all the "?" beside all the fields to read the instructions). If I recall correctly, you need to fill out your family compositions whether or not they are coming with you or holding Canadian PR/Citizenship.

I was a in a same situation. My child was also born in Canada. But I got ITA only after my child was born.
What I did was, I included my child in the application but as non-accompanying. And the reason for non-accompanying, I mentioned that my child was born in Canada and is Canadian citizen. I only submitted the birth certificate of my child with the application.
