CHC-Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Delay

Hello friends,

I am a Canadian Citizen living in Canada. I got married in Pakistan in 2011 and sponsored my wife in Nov 2011. I got my sponsorship approval within 60 days (as expected) and in the letter it was written that my sponsorship application was sent to Islamabad, Pakistan for further processing.

Sep-2012, my wife got the visit and joined me in Canada.

I received a letter from Canadian consulate in Islamabad (~ May 2013) asking for some documents e.g. rukhsati pictures and updated forms.

We received the medical request form in Oct-2013 and medical was performed in Oct-2013.

Online application status updated with "medical results received" in Nov/Dec-2013.

Now it has been almost 5 months that we did the medical and there is no news.

I am getting worried, how long it would take to get the visa? appreciate any idea or comments?

The cases which are getting completed now a days, how much time did you wait after the medical?

well no one can tell you the actual timing.

their are so many ppl waiting for ppr since may 2013 for further queries join our "CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2012 -2013" forum ..

what u do mean by rukhsati pictures? reception pics right? was ur case just nikah only case?

It just takes time. Why? because its the most disorganized immigration office in the world, according to lawyers and consultants from vancouver,BC canada. Plus when you send them updates it takes close t0 3 to 6 months for them to update your file. Depending on the person who is looking at your file. For example they assign a person for your file and that person is going to complete your file( person could be lazy or fast and person who cares about family and it all depends). So Inshallah allah willing soon you will hear good news.

Thank you for the comments..

Rukhsati means reception. In my initial application, I told them that reception is pending.

meanwhile, my wife got the visit visa and I had reception/rukhsati. Therefore, I sent them pictures and travel evidence for my reception/rukhsati.

Few months after sending them reception pictures and update forms, I received the medical forms. Now it has been almost 6 months and there is no news.

anyone knows, how much time is being taken now a days by CHC Islamabad between medical and PR visa?
