Chat Logs

Hi

I am applying for immigration via family class and my wife is the sponsor.

I am just going through my chat logs and realised that some of the conversations include stuff that any real relationship has. What i mean is is that we have been through a lot and some of the IM chats show me and my wife when we have been less than lovey dovey.


Some people I have asked have said that it is a good thing to reveal some of the 'darker times in our relationship' but others have said no.

so wondering if there is anybody who have had successful immigration applications that have included chat logs in their application, it would be good to hear from you all... thanks

When I submitted my application, we included chat log excerpts (dated) with a note that more could be provided upon request. We didn't want to print the entirety of all our logs, which would have taken about 2400 pages.

We excluded chat logs showing arguments, the more intimate chat logs, and logs that were nothing but us being nerds about various video games, and then just picked a few excerpts out of the rest.

My wife and I just picked that covered the time from as far back as we still had logs, (we knew each other on line for years before we met and fell in love) up until the present and included a mix of things from just going on about movies to planning visits or the wedding etc. We didn't include any arguments but we did include a couple where we disagreed on something and hashed it out in messages cause her sister had the phone tied up.

We figured it would show that it was a well rounded relationship, and that we could deal with disagreements without it getting nasty, which would help show it was a strong relationship.

Me and my husband are going to take a screenshot of our chat log folders from various IM programs (MSN/Skype) that shows separate dates and file sizes, as well as a few carefully selected chunks of out chatlogs. We figured one from each month of each year would work.
