Can I change my DLI through my online account after I land in Canada and get my study permit? Do I have to be studying in my current DLI to be able to do this or can I transfer to the new DLI without attending any classes at the current DLI
I have not read anywhere that you have to start classes in your current DLI. From what I can tell online and asking people already in Canada (including my intending DLI), you can change DLI on your CIC account once you have entered Canada and received your SP against your current DLI. If your new program requires a co-op permit that your former program did not, you can apply for the co-op permit once you have registered at your new school and started classes.

Yes, I eventually had to apply for a new SP prior to landing in Canada. If you are in the same situation, I'd strongly suggest you re-apply and soon too.

Oh, mine's a different case. I'm actually IN Canada. Finished my first program from Sept 2021-Apr 2022, applied for second program for Sept 2022 and got my extension. And I'm changing this second program after getting my extension. As far as I understand, I dont need to reapply for my case

Thanks for confirming! Would you also know how long it takes for the DLI transfer? I applied for the DLI transfer request and I dunno if I'm supposed to get a confirmation or something.
