No, this doesn't come under "actively studying while you're in Canada". If you want to switch colleges within 10 days, you need to apply for a brand new study permit.
If you do not want to apply for a brand new study permit, then you need to complete at least one full semester with your original college before you swtich to your new college.

Hi scylla, wondering if the same thing applies for me. I completed my first program in Canada in April and my second program is supposed to start in September. I also got a study permit extension for the same. Now I wish to change my university.
Do I have to reapply for a new study permit extension or simply transfer DLI? New program has the same length, just a different university. But the program hasn't started yet, do I need to reapply for a study permit extension?
