Can I move to northern Quebec (outside of Montreal city) and keep my final step of citizenship processing here in Montreal to finish off? Or will they automatically transfer my file out of Montreal somewhere else without my consent? I decided to take my other friends offer to temporarily stay with him in northern Quebec before finally moving to Ontario in the longer term.

Should I change my living and mailing address to northern Quebec address? Or change my living address to northern Quebec, but change mailing address to Montreal? I really want my citizenship process to remain in Montreal, since it's at the very end of it. I heard it's not an issue because I would still be in the same province, and not a different one.

Can anyone confirm any of this? Thanks.

I am in the same situation as you. I am moving to another address and afraid to change my sddress to miss any mails after.

Didn't read your 10 different scenarios but bottom line if you change address you risk both losing mail and delays, period.

I second that.
