Hi! I am under the live-in caregiver program I received may open work permit last December 2011. Now I'm just waiting for my PR. Last month I got home (Philippines ) to get married. My question is... Do I need to change my status now? Is this affect my PR application? or I change my status only if I got my PR? Is there any complication if I did this one..Please help me! Thanks!!!

1. Well that wasn't smart. You should have waited until you "landed" and then got married.
2. Now you have to amend your application to include your spouse, your spouse will have to submit the required documents, see the checklist.
3. He will have to be examined, have a medical, get the Police certificates, and wait for the background checks.
4. Until he is "examined" you will not receive your PR status, and have probably added a year onto the processing.
5. If you fail to declare him, you can never sponsor him, and you could be reported and removed for misrepresentation.
