Since both my spouse and I reside OUTSIDE Canada at the moment, we asked CPC-Ottawa to make arrangements to have our CoPR delivered by a local visa office [Paris, France].
Has anyone experienced the same thing ? and had to transfer file from CPC-Ottawa to a local VO outside Canada ?
Could you please indicate how long Ottawa took to respond to your email request and if they did confirm the visa office change ?
Curious about how long that process takes since I only have 28 days left according to my PPR letter... :
Does anyone know if the local VO sends another PPR ?
If yes, is it directly by email or through MyCIC ?
If not, did you send a copy of the Ottawa PPR to your local VO ?

2 weeks ? But how long did it take for them to confirm the VO change ?
Asivad mentioned the VO change might take 2 full weeks.
If it's 2 additional weeks that makes 28 days and the deadline is 30 days...
It took me a day. I have to change mine from Ottawa to Singapore VO for me and Philippine VO for my dependents. Try sending them an email during canada office hours to avoid your email from being piled over. And yes, you should receive an email on your mycic (and personal email). PPR letter content should come from the visa office you requested.
I received PPR today, it has stated that:"If you or any of your accompanying family members are outside Canada or the United States, please contact CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to issue the documents at a local visa office." I also have to change VO, wish for a prompt reply.
i got ppr on aug7, sent for VO change on thesame day thru the ottawa e-mail address.
got a a new letter in mycic & also thru e-mail from the right VO on aug 11. This new letter had 15days to submit though, guess it might be peculiar to my visa office.
I received PPR last July 23 and e mail them regarding my wife and 2 kids passports the same day on how to send it in the local office at home in the Philippines .I sent my passport in Ottawa on 29 morning and received another PPR request messages at night same day also in myCIC account addressed from the local office at home regarding instructions on how to send it there. So its another 30 days indicated in that mail..Good luck everyone!!! ;D
hi there friend... i have been searching for a case like yours on the forum for many days now...
while i still wait for my PPR and i know it's gonna be a while as i submitted my application just a couple of weeks ago... this thing about visa office for stamping has been a constant thought in my head...
i am in Canada and spouse is in home country... when you receive PPR it says this....
If you OR any of your accompanying family members are outside Canada or the United States, please contact CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to issue the documents at a local visa office.
Now how does it work in the case when Principal Applicant is in Canada and the spouse in the home country? how did you do it...
where to send the passeport copies (no visa with France)?
