Hello everyone, I have a small query regarding my change of college. I got my study permit approval in India for starting May 2021 semester for Post Degree Diploma and at the time I got my study visa my course registrations in my college went full and not accepted me into the program. Now my college wants me to defer to January 2022 as September admissions are full. Can I change now to another college for September intake 2021 and transfer my DLI(Designated Learning Institute) number in IRCC or do I need to reapply for a study visa again if I change the college? If I only change my DLI number at the IRCC website will I have any problems with my immigration? Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Yes you need to reapply if you are outside of Canada. Best option is to defer
“If your application for a study permit has been approved and you change your DLI, you must submit a new study permit application with a new letter of acceptance.
