I have a valid visa and study permit up to 2015. But I have recently legally changed my name and corrected my surname. As CIC has no form regarding change of information I was advised to apply for an extension to my study permit with new name. My expected date of finish of study is 2017. Anyone knows if I apply for an extension with new name would CIC give me a study permit up to end of my course 2017? or they just would give me one year study permit? Cheers
