Change of Martial Status while on PGWP

Hi everybody ,

I'm on a Post Graduate Work Permit for a year , I've been to the US and then back to my origin country (I'm still here in Iran and will be back to Canada in 2 months) , I am going to marry in a month ,

Do I need to inform CIC that I married ? Is there any kind of form that I need to fill ? (I want my wife to accompany me to Canada this time)

What kind of Visa do I have to apply for her ? Visiting visa ? (I don't have a job in Canada , Do I need to first find a job and then apply a visa for her ?)

1. No, you don't have to inform CIC at this point.
2. Your spouse will have to apply for a TRV. (visitor visa) and do biometrics. So she can either apply on line or at a VAC only. Note the VAC is in Turkey See: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/turkey-turquie/visas/apply-how_demande-comment.aspx?lang=eng
3. As the processing time at Ankara for 80% of their visitor applications is 62 days, it is unlikely that she would receive a TRV (if approved) before you depart.

Is it better to apply for her visa after 6 months of marriage date ? does it affect the decision of the officer ? I've been with her for 6 years. Is it more likely to be rejected if I apply for her sooner than 6 months ? (like in 3/4 months)
