i'm asking this on behalf of a friend who's about to get married.

she's single at this time and is close to getting her study permit. if she gets married in her home country before travelling to canada on her study permit, is there a chance that the cic would revoke her permit and have her reapply? she intends to inform them of her change in marital status as soon as she gets married, because i think failing to do so would be misrepresentation.

bump. anyone?

Hi,

I don't feel it should be much of a problem if she gets married after applying for the visa. Just ensure her registered date of marriage on the marriage certificate is the one post visa application date. You can always say later on that she got married after applying for the visa.
