Hi, I am thinking of applying for PR under the CEC entry. I do have over one year of canadian work experience and my language test results are high as well. I do not hold a Bachelors degree though so I am aware that I won’t get a lot of points in the education section. I know that I could get points for having a work contract. Now I was wondering if once I have that work contract and do get PR can I change my employer after or am I tied down to that employer for at least the amount of time that it said in the contract I would have used for my PR application?
I know my current employer will definitely help me getting PR and will offer me a work contract. It is a tiny business so they do not pay very well so I was hoping I could get a better paying job once I got PR (my current work visa only allows me to work for this one employer). Thanks in advance for any help.

If you get the PR, once you get it, you will be able to do whatever you want. Period.
However, let me advise you that having a job contract for a prestablished duration will not let you earn the 50 point for arranged employment. You will need your employer to provide a separate letter that he is willing to employ you in a skill profession for at least 1 year once you've gotten your PR. It has to be as specific as that. If you have all of that, then you're good.
