I can't answer that question. I have no idea if you will be successful in overturning the misrepresentation with the help of a lawyer.

It was my belief that if the land is titled under my sponsor’ name it’s enough proof of ownership . Yes the Certificate of Title of the land was submitted and later checked by VO that it’s not yet registered at the Registry of Deeds

Not familar with how land title works in your country. (Certificate of Title vs Registry of Deeds) A lawyer may help. Not sure.
