I just got my IELTS result today. I took the test last August 24, and here are my results:
L-8
R-8.5
W-7.5
S-8.5
So I missed CLB 10 by getting an 8 in listening, which would have made my points up to 474. With my IELTS results, I am now at 471. I am single, 24, with two or more post-secondary credentials, and three years of foreign work experience. Do I have chances at 471? Or should I retake IELTS?
Listening is really tough for me. I don't know why I can't crack that 8.5, or maybe I just really can't focus well. The last time I took the test two years ago, I also got 8 in listening.
Just to give an update, I retook IELTS last Sept 19 and got my results today. I'm so frustrated because while I finally got a 9 in listening, my speaking went from 8.5 to 7. I honestly don't know what happened. I am utterly shocked to see this score. I think I did pretty well during the speaking test. It's just so unbelievable that I scored 7 in speaking when I scored 8.5 in my previous tests. My CRS score still stands at 471 because of this. Ugh.
