certified translation of Nikah Nama

I have been asked by CIC to provide a certified translation of nikah nama (marriage certificate).

Are there any CIC approved translators or should I take it to any translator who can provide notarized document?

What language should my supporting documents be in?
Unless we tell you otherwise, all supporting documents must be in English or French.

If it is not in English or French, you must send it with:

• the English or French translation and
• an affidavit from the person who completed the translation and
• a certified photocopy of the original document

U need to provide nadra computerized marriage certificate as a proof of marriage.

To be honest I m surprised becuz for immigration purposes nadra marriage/divorce certificates are used to prove marriage. U better send both

I received the same ADR yesterday. I provided Nadra marriage certificate. They 've now requested for "Nikaah nama with certified translation".

Well tbh I am surprised why IRCC are asking for that document. I have talked to my friends and they have only showed nadra certificate without a need for certified translation of nikah namah. The same goe s for divorce. Those who applied as a divorcee had to show only nadra divorce registration certificate.

Let me ask u guys something, can u see quaid e Azam picture in the watermark of your marriage certificate ??

It depends on the visa officer too. They are at liberty to ask for a document they deem required. Will check about that picture later.

The reason why I m asking this is becuz Union council has recently started to make these certificates on a different papers which are the cheaper ones.

Previously they used to do on the papers in which quaid e azam was there in the water mark but one can only see if it’s put under lite.

Now they have changed the paper in which u don’t have to see his watermark under lite as it’s visible clearly under normal lite

And I guess that may put doubts in visa officer mind that y the paper is different

hello Guys.. I have a certified copy of Nikahnama but I don't have NADRA marriage certificate.. Will that alone be sufficient?

Certified English translation of the nikah Nama along with original will be enough.
