Went to Passport Canada office to apply for kids passport. The officer accepted the application but put a pending document request. I had a notarized translation of my kids birth certificate from India which was not acceptable. He asked me to find a certified translator on STIBC.org and get a proof pf parentage translation from the birth certificate.
Do I need to get this translated in person? Anyone use this service around Vancouver? What are the charges like?
I got a translator from the STIBC.org directory and they provided me with the Hindi to English translation for the birth certficate as a digitally signed document. Cost was $50.
Lets see if the Passport office accepts it or sends me for another loop
