You need to send:
1.the certified copy of the original document (the non-translated version)
2. original of the certified translation
3. Affidavit of the translator

Re: Can the affidavit be translated as well?

Hi Guys,

i have a question so the affidavit needs to be done by a notary right? so i am from El Salvador and lawyers here can not make affidavits in English or in french even if it is bilingual because they can not work in a foreign language so can it be translated too? and as only one interpreter will translate all my documents do i have to make only one affidavit for all of them or do i have to one for each one? :'( thank you very much in advanced. ;D

Hello people

I have a question here. I'm getting my Birth Certificate translated from ATIO. In that case I don't need the affidavit. But, am I supposed to send the original translation to CIC or a photocopy of that?

and the original of certified copy? (or photocopy of certified copy?)

So that way, I'm sending:

Original Translation (to English)
Certified True Copy (Of the original document)

oh! I'm all puzzled here. Please help! ???

Hi psharma4,
I sent copy of the translation and affidavit as it was in english and the original of the certified true copy.
However I only sent my application last week so don't know what will happen, but that's how I sent mine.
You might want to wait and see if someone else with experience responds.

Thanks

Thank you for your reply Mkesh. I guess I will be doing the same.
