Under express entry there is a question do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province, territory or federal body?
I am working in the IT sector now in my home country. I have applied for certification from CIPS(Canada's association of IT professionals). Is this certification recognised in Canada as a certificate of qualification? Anyone applied for certification from CIPS before? Would appreciate your advice on how i can use this qualification.
Certificate of qualification only applies to certain NOC's that involve trades (carpenter, plumber, electrician, etc), even if you have such certification it will not add any CRS points.

Major Group 72, industrial, electrical and construction trades,
Major Group 73, maintenance and equipment operation trades,
Major Group 82, supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production,
Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators,
Minor Group 632, chefs and cooks, and
Minor Group 633, butchers and bakers.
I have certificate of operator in training from ontario water wastewater certification office. I have passed the exam with 82% and obtained the certificate. The NOC for water and wastewater treatment plant operators is 9243. So should i select yes for cerificate of qualification in my profile ?. I dont work in that trade thou but i have the certificate. I work under NOC 2211. I have applied under EE under Canadian experience class. Will i get 50 points ?

My NOC is B, does the Food Handler certification is considered a Certificate of qualification?
