Certificate of qualification question under NOC

Question for the experts

Assume I am NOC code XXXX. But coming to find out, there is a skilled trade where
I can apply for a certificate of qualification based on many of the duites performed
from that NOC code XXXX.

Has anyone ever heard of an instance where an NOC code (which gives CRS and FSW points for experience)
was also used to obtain a Certificate Of Qualification?

Or do both conflict one another, and you can use an NOC code for only either CRS/FSW points
or only Certificate of Qualification points?
