Ok bare with me on this one, it's mixed up situation. I am an international student who completed his course in Dec 2019 and I couldn't leave the country to travel back home on time by the end of March before flights were cancelled due to COVID-19. My visa expired on March 31st and I could extend it since I did apply for a course earlier this year in September but didn't get my letter of acceptance on time before colleges shut down so, had to apply for a visitors visa to stay in for now. I worked part time for the last year and a half and probably earned more than $5000 last year. With this situation in hand I was wondering if I could get some advice and guidance on if I would I be eligible for CERB.

No you wouldn’t be eligible because you didn’t lose your job due to covid. It also sounds like you have a valid permit to live in Canada which would be another reason you don’t qualify.
