CEC - With valid Job Offer - Education Back ground Concerns

Hope you are fine.

I am in Canada for last 1 year and I am on work permit now . My employer provided me a permanent offer , so created profile with NOC 2174 (Programmer Analyst) , got invite and am in process of filling my application forms. I have few concerns while filling Educational history, Kindly help with your comments. I know my concerns are too large. But please help.

• Did CEC applicants who have a job offer and in Canada require ECA (Educational Credential Assessment)?
• Under Educational history, Do I need to enter my Grade 10(schooling) or Grade 12 details along with its documents?
• I am basically a Mechanical Engineering Graduate but working as Software Programmer for the last 10 years . Any issue with this ?
• I have completed graduation by 2005 (2001 to 2005 , 4 year bachelors), but I have taken improvement exams(between my work) till 2006. Hence certificate have 2006 marked on it. is it ok to show 2001 to 2005 on Educational history?

First, you say that you have a permanent job offer, but do you also have an LMIA? If not, the job offer won't be of much help.

  It is not required, but you will not get any points for your education outside of Canada if you don't get the ECA done.

  Sorry, this doesn't make any sense to me... If you actually graduated in 2005, your documents should say 2005. If you have additional documents that say 2006, that is OK too. But it is a discrepancy to say say you graduated in 2005 but your certificate says 2006. If you finished coursework but didn't graduate until 2006, that makes sense. Any case, it's not a problem if you took 5 years to complete a 4 year degree. You can always write a letter of explanation later if you're concerned about it.

Yes. I have valid LMO, positive.

Regarding my Graduation, I completed my course on May 2005 and left the college. But due to few backlogs or poor scores I need to take couple of exams to get the degree. So those exams where taken in 2006 which made the degree certificate reflect the year 2006. Please comment?
