Hello People,

I am working under NOC B category,

I am going to file my PR in August 2014,

I am getting married in June 2014,

My questions,

1.) Based on my job as it is in NOC B, can my wife become eligible to file Open work permit (which is the best month for her to file based on above months) ?

2.) Should I file my and wife both CEC application together in August 2014 ?

3.) If point 2 is yes, then after I file our application, what will be the best way she can come here sooner. Because if I wait for PR, it will take long time.

4.) What is different between dependant visa and TRV visa and what should I file for my wife to come here ?

I appreciate all your help in advance,

Thank you very much

Firstly, There is no Dependent Visa for Canada. However, you can apply TRV which can allow her to stay as long as you are eligible to stay in Canada.

If you are NOC B then yes your wife is eligible for OPW. I would suggest you to apply for OPW in June after your marriage, which will allow her to join you in Canada and then plan for CEC together

I was thinking to apply for her OPW after I get my file number (somewhere by October)....is that good option??

Which of the option is better,

1.) I do marriage (June), then apply CEC together (August), then get file number in 1-2 months (Sept-Oct) and then apply for my wife OPW (Oct-November)..??

or,

2.) I do marriage (June), apply for my wife OPW (July), then apply CEC together (August).??
