I am in canada for 2 yrs now. I recently changed employers. I was with employer A till Aug 17, and later joined employer B.
But my new work permit for employer B is valid from Jul 25th. It took a week to reach me through mail and i had to give 2 weeks notice to employer A.
So I have an overlap of almost a month on my old employer after new work permit issued.
Will that be a problem for me to apply PR?
Please let me know.
hi, it actually doesn't matter when you get your work permit. CEC program is counting on hours that you have worked as a skilled work in NOC 0,a,b. If both of your jobs with employer A and B are within NOC 0, A, B, the hours you have worked in these positions are what considered as "experience".
Thanks, how do I identify my NOC code? I can look at the list and match my job details. but is there any place where companies mention the NOC code and process the work permits?
just type in your position title in keywords search, and it will list you some suggested titles. and I will just look at it one by one to see the job duties and find the best match.
for every position that you have looked at, it actually suggest you other similar positions on the bottom and you can go in to find the best match.
