CEC proof of fund

Hi,
I am in the pool of EE. My score is 310 and my post graduate open work permit will be expired in June.
I am planning to leave Canada soon and wait for invitation back in my country.
My question is do I need to prove the fund while I am applying under CEC because my work permit is expired?
As far as I know, applicants applying under CEC don't need to do the proof of fund.
Or is it only when my work permit is valid?

I have a similar query too.

Let's say a foreign job seeker from outside Canada manages to get a job (not +ve LMIA) in Canada
and lands there, and starts the job.

18 continuous months later, he decides to apply for EE CEC class.

If he gets ITA, does he have to show proof of funds still?
Or is he exempt from showing it (now that he has a job, albeit not +LMIA)?
