Hello All,

Recently my PR under CEC category was approved. I am planning to land in canada in SEP 1st Week. Well I am currently working for company for many years but now would come to Canada on my own. Could you please answer my below queries:

1) At the time of Landing, do I need to have a job or job offer in Canada. If I dont have job, what's the best I need to say to the officer to give the confidence that I will get the job soon and can live on my own.

2) Do I need to show any funds for my survival in initial days, if yes how much do I need to furnish.

I am currently on my job search and trying hard to get one before I land.

Thanks.

Having a job is not a requirement. If the officer asks, which I highly doubt, tell him/her that you start applying as soon as possible.

2) Do I need to show any funds for my survival in initial days, if yes how much do I need to furnish.

No, that's also not a requirement. However, bring a bank statement to show you have some money, some officers
ask for it.

I am currently on my job search and trying hard to get one before I land.

Thanks.

Also, here's a list of all required and optional documents
for the landing process:

Hope this helps,
T.
