Am I eligible to apply for CEC if I work 30hrs/week in one job only as part time employee from april 2022 to april 2023 which is equivalent to 1560hrs or 52 weeks? or only 15hrs/ week will be considered since I am only part time employee? Thanks.
30 h/week is considered full time by the immigration. It doesn't matter how your company calls it.
Part time is always calculated based on specific hours worked: 9h per week, 20h per week, or whatever is in the contract. "Part-time" doesn't necessarily mean 15h per week.
But it shouldn't matter to you. You work full time. Just make sure that they write 30h/week, even if they call it "part-time". It is full time for the immigration.

Thank you for this information! Cause I am confused with the wordings in the equal amount in part time hours. I thought that if you are "part time" employee only 30hrs is counted at more than 1 job. So if im part time in one job even if i work 30hrs per week, only 15hrs will be counted. So its clear to me now based on your information that regardless of your employment status either pt/ft as long as you work 30 hrs/ week in one job, it will be considered under CEC to meet the 1560hrs or 52 weeks.
equal amount in part-time hours, such as:
15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
As I understand "30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)", it means 30 hours in total in, say, two part-time jobs. For example, you work 10 hours per week in one job and 20 hours in a different job. That adds to 30 hours.
Part time is always counted how it is.
Full time is defined as "30 h/week". No more, no less.
More than 30 hours per week counts like 30 hours.
Hi all,
Just needed a confirmation regarding my part time experience for CEC.
I have worked part time for 3 months from July 1 to oct 1 on NOC B, but it was only 10 hours per week. Total 120 hours
After that i worked full time from November 1st 2022 to October 1 2023 ( 11 months)
