CEC Media Story - Are you still waiting?

We're looking to hear from CEC applicants who applied in August 2014 or earlier and haven't received their MR yet or heard anything about their file.
If this is adversely affecting your life and future in Canada we'd like you to get in touch. With applications not being processed for a significant amount of time we'd love to find out what is going on but need your help.

We really appreciate you for being considerate and listening to the issues that most people in this forum are facing. I would like to highlight some of the concerns which CEC applicants have:

1. There has not been any(only few have got MR,PP or RPRF request) movement in CEC files in last 2 months.
2. People who applied after Aug 2014 have not received any update on their application.There is a bunch of applicant from June 2014 who also have not received any update.
3. There are some people like me who have got MR but a decision has not been made on our application.
4. Though CIC gives Bridge Open Work permit for people like us to continue to work in Canada till a decision is made on our PR application it results in extra expenditure.The processing time of such work permit from Canada has increased to 4 months which used to be 10-20 days 1 year back.This is forcing most of the applicant to be in implied status in Canada(most employer do not allow to work, and also we have to live with out medical insurance in this period)
5. This is happening in a time when express entry applications are processed in 3 months time which many think is unfair.

I agree with you... I have been waiting since june 2013 my landing fees and medical was done march 2014.....can u imagine.... I am just paying work permit fees

Many people stuck in this situation from last year. And it's not because something is wrong with our files, it's because nobody is looking at them. People are loosing their jobs over this.

Really, Two days before I got an offer of nearly $50,000 per year job. But I am unable to join that company. Because of my PR application.

CIC not really looking at our files, just they put us on hold without any reason.

If you could do anything would be highly appreciated.

I believe it should be for all CEC applicants. I am October applicant and of course haven't gotten my MR yet. All our applications are delayed as nobody is processing them. While on the other side, Express Entry applicants get PR in 3 months.

It is REAL. I just sent an email to the address asking for confirmation. Got a reply. Easy to google it's a real reporter and email. Good chance to get heard guys.
