Hello All,

I got ITA under CEC. I have listed my spouse as an un-accompanying spouse as he is already a Canadian PR and living in Canada with me.
In the spouse section of the application, it is asking to upload a Family proof of status documents and marked as required.

My spouse does not have any family living in Canada other than me. Also none of the family members of my spouse are either PR or Canadian citizens. What document(s) should he upload in this section? Should he just upload my work permit document? Because technically I am his only family member with any immigration status in Canada. His parents do have valid visitor visas of Canada. Would that count?

Please recommend what to upload in this situation?

Does anyone have any clue about this? This is urgent for me as it is holding me back from submitting my application.

If your spouse is already Canadian PR, you just upload his PR card copy along with Letter of explanation that your spouse is non accompaning and already PR . You don’t need to upload anything else.

I will upload his PR in my family's proof of status section as he is my family member and already a PR. But my question is about my spouse's section's family proof of status documents.

To clarify, family proof of status is asked twice in the application. Once in my(applicant's) section and another time in my spouse's section. What should be uploaded in the spouse's section?

Just upload his PR copy as well as letter of explanation and birth certificate and marriage certificate all there

Hi, what documents did you end up uploading in the family proof of status and how has the process been?

I’d appreciate any insight you can offer?
