Greetings. I am a bit confused regarding the calculation of hours! I am working as a Part Time Shift Supervisor but my hours are more than 30 per week. Therefore, can I count it as full time hours and need to work 1 full year to be eligible for CEC?? I had a conversation with my HR Department, and they said though I am working more than 30 hours, still they classify me as a Part Time employee!! Thanks in advance for advice and suggestions.

It doesn't matter what your employer classifies you as. As long as you work for 30 hours or more, each and every week, for 52 weeks, you meet the eligibility criteria.

You meet IRCC's definition of full-time, they don't care what your employer calls it. As long as they write your hours in the letter of reference, IRCC will count it as full-time. That's why the "number of hours worked per week" is required information.
Your employer calls it part time because they gets away with paying for your benefits. But as long as you work more than 30 hours a week for 52 weeks, you will meet the minimal requirement.
I regards to the hours worked, does anyone know if vacation or unpaid leave counts, or if you have to add time on for this?
Technically I'm still employed at the time, and have a full-time contract!!!
