Hey everyone,
I would like to ask a simple question.
I am in implied status right now, waiting for a new work-permit (most likely will get it within next 83 days). I am qualified to apply for permanent residence, CEC category. In order to save time I would like to send my application right now.
Can I file my application to CPP-O, under valid implied status? Or do I need to file it to visa office what my country of origin belongs to? Or do I have to wait until I get my new work permit?
Thanks for any idea.

I had applied for CEC while in implied status. The application was accepted and assigned to CPP-O. So I'd think this is not an issue.

Hello everyone again,
I have another question related to my topic.
If send my application under valid implied status; what kind of status do I choose in Question #10, GENERIC APPLICATION? And what dates "from" ----> "to"?
I am thinking to put down;
Status: OTHER
Other: WORKER-IMPLIED STATUS
From: 2012-08-16 To: 2012-11-13 (90 days of implied status)
Is my thinking right?
.....or do I have to fill in the date I asked my Work permit to be valid to (from 2012-08-16 to 2014-08-15)?
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thank you,
Martin
Hello,
I am also on 'Implied' status...On implied status, you are legally allowed to live and work in Canada. So, I have mentioned that status as 'Worker' ( since I am still working) and I selected the end date as application fill date. And I write 'present' with pen (after taking print out).
Also, I am planning to send a letter from Lawyer( employer lawyer who filed my work permit extension) confirming my 'Implied Status' along with my expired work permits.
Thx...
This is question to RanjithP...Did you include your copy of your LMO along with your application?
The term "present" is a good idea.
I was also thinking to add a copy of the LMO application, or copy of my WP application. The thing is that they have my name and details in system already. So I am thinking to write only my "UCI" and date of birth on the cover letter what I will add to my CEC application.
Hello Martin_85,
UCI ---> Do you mean the client Id appears on the work permit? I was wondering whether we can use the same id in the generic application form for question number 3?
Any body? Can we use the client Id that appears on the Work permit for question number 3 in the application form? Thx...
Yeah, I think we can use it. This UCI stays all the time same. It has been created the very firts time we have been added to the system.
So yes, question #3 is the same client ID what we used in the WP application.
A professinal immigrant consultant confirmed this to me.

Hey Martin,
Since you mentioned about your LMO...I have a question regarding theLMO...The job title in my LMO does not match with my Employment letter title ..My LMO says 'Lead Consultant' , but my employment letter says 'Project Manager'...but, the NOC code which is mentioned in LMO is correct( that's what I am using for my CEC application)...Due to this title discrepancy, I am wondering whether to include the LMO or NOT...Does it really matter?
How does your LMO look like?
Thx...

No I did not include my LMO. CIC would know that your application is under processing for extension. This is already in their system. No harm mentioning in a cover letter that your extension is being processed. I did not do this either as 'Implied' status is equivalent to 'Worker' status.
Just mentioned my current status as 'Worker' and 'To Date' as the date of filling the application.
Thx Ranjith...
Did you include your expired work permits with your application? Thx...
Thanks a lot for that answer!
Well, I think since they are asking for the most recent WP, I am going to add a copy of my old, expired, WP. And explain that in a cover letter.
Martin
To the job title.
Well, I would rather follow what the LMO says. I would try to ask my employer if they just can change the job title in the letter. It shouldn't be a problem I guess. The important is the NOC number, and the duty description for sure.
I have the same ocupation and NOC number in both (LMO and letter from my company), so I don't have this issue.

Yes, I did include my expired WP. As per the checklist, you should include the most recent WP you have. This along with latest NOA and Employer Letter would help them verify your work experience.
