CEC Applicant -Spouse not accompanying reason when spouse is already in Canada on open work permit

I received an ITA with spouse not accompanying. I chose this option because my CRS score was very less when I add my spouse in my application. I want to be honest and mention the same reason to the question "Reason for spouse not accompanying". I want your valuable feedback guys if anyone of you have/had the same case and if this reason is at all considered or will straight away be a point of rejection.
