Hi all,
Inland spousal application in May 9.
Spospor got SA a week ago.feb 22.
On March 1,PA who was out of status during the application asked to go and clear a warrant of arrest with CBSA before the application is finalized.
What should she expect with CBSa??deportation, detention or what now??pls provide us with info only if you are sure.its scary enough!.Thanks
Hello, I know it’s been a while since this happened but I’m currently in your position, can you please tell me what happened. Thank you
This thread is very old, make a new one and post your concerns there see if others will chime in. One question though did u already receive approval for sponsorship, not PA the one for the person being filed for AIP.

Please give an update of ur situation and i will be able to help you, what’s the status of your spousal sponsorship application and also what was the content of your letter from cbsa, why did u lost ur status n how long has it been? Did u work while u were out of status,?

Not sure if/how those last two questions are relevant, since the Public Policy that has been in place (for years) includes working without authorization and/or overstaying.

ponga,i went through this couple months ago thats why i ask but ur more knowledgeable in this .
Interactions with CBSA are always dependent on the person’s specific situation. You shouldn’t try to avoid CBSA that would be the worst option. You can ask for removals to be put on hold and involve a lawyer if necessary.
Pls read the thread before answering.thank you

Deleted it but contacting CBSA and not avoiding them remains good advice.

Again read the thread n direct ur answer to who ask the question.Thank you
Sorry i didnt see these questions in time...It was Approved, now a citizen.went in to see CBSA and applicant was released after clearing with CBSA because application was still in progress. They give you a list of curfew kinda things you can't do until the decision is made on the file and make you do weekly/monthly sign ins at Mississauga (the airport) location. Once you get a positive decision you don't do the Chek ins anymore

Those questions were not addressed to you anyways. Nothing to be sorry about.

It is useful to others that you provided this update though, even if it was some years ago.
